Last year I really got into Holiday banners. I made this one with my friend, and Super Mommy, Missy. 
We used pinking shears to cut triangles and the heart. Then we sewed them to a strip of coordinating fabric and stamped them with black fabric paint.
We folded the ribbon over the fabric and sewed it on because tying looked all bunchy! Even though our fabrics were red, white, and black, we added pink ribbons as well. I love the way the colors mesh.
We ironed the heart on with heat-n-bond.
